1. Cookies and browser storage
Cookies are small values stored by a browser and sent with relevant requests. Local storage keeps settings in the browser without automatically sending them with each request. Both may be used by the website or platform.
2. Platform features
- Session and security cookies support signed-in access and protection against forged form submissions. Blocking them may prevent login or saving forms.
- Where remember-me functionality is enabled and selected, an authentication cookie may keep you signed in beyond the current session.
- A preference value records acknowledgement of the website’s cookie notice.
- Local storage saves table preferences such as visible columns, sort order, and pagination. Clearing browser storage resets these preferences.
3. Security verification and external resources
Some registration or login requests use Cloudflare Turnstile for abuse prevention. Pages may also request externally hosted fonts or other resources. Providers can receive technical request information when those resources load.
A banner acknowledgement does not, by itself, authorise advertising or optional tracking. Any optional tracking introduced must have an appropriate explanation and, where required, a choice before it is activated.
4. Duration and your choices
Session duration depends on the platform’s session configuration. Remember-me values and cookie-notice preferences can last longer. Local storage remains until it is cleared by the browser, the user, or the platform.
Use your browser settings to inspect, block, or delete cookies and local storage. This may sign you out or reset settings. Private browsing and signing out are useful on shared devices. Contact us for questions about the storage used on a particular page.
